Hello Josef, Thank you for creating this homepage. My father, Ervin Erickson, was the son of Clara Dyrud and Alfred Erickson. Clara Dyrud was the daughter of Anders Dyrud and Karina Amlie who both emigrated from Einafjord. My wife, brother, and sister-in-law visited the Amlien farm this past June and met Erland Amlie and his father Johann. It was thrilling for my brother and I to see where our great-grandmother was born and raised. This summer while visiting Montana we stopped at the grave of Karina and took a photograph of it. I will forward the photo to you when I have it scanned. I work at St. Olaf College as the manager of the St. Olaf Band and Orchestra. Så vidt jeg kan skjønne, er du tremenning til min morfar, Rasmus J. Amlie. Dessuten tror jeg at min mor, Marit Amlie Langeland, var i kontakt med deg en gang i fjor ? My sister just sent me your address and told me to take a look at this. We are the Amlie family of Portland, OR. We will probably be sending some updated spelling, dates, and history to complete some of your records. Our father had a history done many years ago, maybe some of that data could be useful to you. Hei, takk for en mengde nye opplysninger om Amlie-slekten ! Særlig var "Dyrud-grenen" (1.1.8.2.2) interessant - overbring gjerne en takk til den/de personen(e) som har hjulpet deg. Totalt finnes det nå over 1000 personer i min slekts-database, men det gjenstår mange (se f.eks. etterlysningene mine...) Et forslag til videre arbeid kan være å dele opp slekten i "ansvarsområder", f.eks. vil det være naturlig først og fremst å følge opp sin egen gren, f.eks. slik: Jeg: 1.1.8.2.9, Du: 1.1.8.2.6, ?Dyrud: 1.1.8.2.2, Gunnar Thon: 1.1.8.2.5, Christine Amlie: 1.1.5.9 osv. Selvfølgelig er det ingen ting i veien for at man også jobber utenfor sin gren! Ansvarlige/kontakptersoner for andre større grener, f.eks. 1.1.5.2, 1.1.5.8 og 1.1.8.7 mangler - har du noen forslag ? Forøvrig kan vi bli flinkere til oppgi våre kilder, både pga. kvaliteten av dateene, men også som en gest til alle som bidrar.
